Those who think that barbie dolls are only for little girls will soon change their mind.
The creative director of Moschino, Jeremy Scott, selected a young boy as a protagonist of the Barbie Moschino doll add spot. Mattel doll created in a joint project with the Milanese fashion house.
A decision that seems to break taboos and stereotypes saying that the world most famous doll is only part of girl universe.
For the first time in the history of Mattel : a boy is playing with a Barbie doll. The youtube video has already more than 2 millions views. It shows the excited kid saying « Barbie is amazing », while playing with the accesories. After all, it is not surprising, for more than 50 years the doll always reflected the esthetic and cultural transformation of our society.
The designer says on instagram
